 Every Child Deserves a Future

The Basic Education Support in Temporary Shelters (BEST) Project and the Preparation for Reintegration through Education and Participatory Solutions (PREPS) Project firmly believe that access to education is a fundamental human right. Education is a crucial tool that enables children and youth to overcome the barriers of poverty and contribute to building a more equitable society across various dimensions.

Save the Children Thailand has collaborated with local organisations to support over 20,000 children displaced by conflict in Myanmar, across 60 schools in nine temporary shelters along the Thailand-Myanmar border, ensuring access to basic education. Our efforts include the development of teaching and learning materials, provision of educational resources, and distribution of hygiene kits to schools during the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that children in these areas can access quality basic education.
