 Every Child Deserves a Future

Save the Children Thailand, in collaboration with the ECPAT Foundation Thailand, is driving the ROAR II Project to enhance online safety knowledge and empower children and youth, including those with diverse sexual orientations and disabilities. This initiative equips young leaders in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai to protect children from online sexual abuse and exploitation while advancing advocacy efforts at both national and ASEAN levels.

We believe that children learn best through hands-on experience. This project has engaged over 60 youth leaders in Participatory Action Research (PAR) to understand online safety and build resilience against challenges faced by children and youth in these target provinces. Additionally, 30 mentor teachers have participated in the observation process.

This research plays a crucial role in creating evidence-based data to shape the second phase of the project, which includes campaign development and designing activities that address online safety concerns both online and offline. The third phase focuses on advocacy and strategic planning to support online safety policy promotion at local, regional, and national levels under the ROAR II project.
